ic5 In-Ceiling Loudspeaker

The ic5 in-ceiling loudspeaker is the uber-capable ic6’s smaller brother, offering the same dynamic full-range sound while sacrificing only the last few dB of output. The ic5’s included compact square and round, frameless perforated grilles disappear into any commercial, retail, corporate or professional environment. 16-ohm and 70V/100V operation.

LISTEN IN THE WINDOW.

The ic5 Frequency Response is remarkably flat and extended, insuring the highest accuracy and highest-resolution available. Even at very low levels, the sound is crystal clear, open and delicate.

GREAT ROOM.

Even the reflected sound from an ic5 loudspeaker is accurate and extended. The ic5 will fill your room with coherent, accurate sound everywhere. Shown is the CEA2034 for Half Space Estimated In-Room response which predicts the measured response in a typical reflective room.

SOUNDS GOOD EVERYWHERE. EVEN AT THE CEILING.

Even at 90° off-axis – literally at the surface of the ceiling – the response of the ic5 is smooth, with gradual, controlled HF roll off. So should you be up there painting the ceiling, you’re going to enjoy the performance of the ic5.

TIGHT GROUPING.

The ic5 offers wide dispersion all the way to the very top audio octave. Everyone hears wide-band, detailed sound.

140 DEGREES OF FREEDOM.

The dispersion of the ic5 exceeds 120° at 10kHz. Even the bad tables in the dining room receive detailed, clean clear sound.

“SEE” THE SOUND.

Here is the data shown in the Directivity Contour Plot shown again on a polar map, making it easier to “see” how the sound is dispersed from the loudspeaker itself. The 0° axis represents the axis perpendicular to the speaker grille – in other words, that axis straight down when the speaker is mounted into a ceiling. The ic5 coverage is very wide and uniform, all the way to the top audio octave: >120° at -6dB! Everyone in a broad area receives full-range sound with delicate, extended treble response.

POWER GRAB.

The Sound Power is the sum of the total output of a loudspeaker. The ic5 Sound Power Response is smooth and extended, indicating that the ic5 will fill a room with neutral, wide-bandwidth sound everywhere.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT.

Theory in-ceiling loudspeaker pre-construction brackets allow you to easily reserve space in the ceiling during the construction phase of the project. Each bracket shows the loudspeaker model number so no errors are made prior to drywall.

DROP CEILING? NO PROBLEM.

A 24” spacing tile bridge kit is available to make installation into drop ceilings painless and secure.

Premium sound are nothing less than amazing. I've reluctantly asked them to do things with my order, they happily accepted. Bang & Olufsen is simply class, the sound notes are simply above the rest, and will happily come back for service. Thankyou

Got directed here by Factory Sound in South Melbourne and finally found the 2.5mm/3.5mm cable I need. The lady who served me was great. Keen to help and friendly.

It was interesting that the gentleman I talked to on the phone sounded like a friendly community middle aged uncle (no offence intended). After I'd parked, I was looking for a shop that's got the similar vibe to Factory Sound. When I stepped into the shop, my oh my, the contrary of what you had in mind and the reality lol

It's a fancy pants shop by its look, but friendly environment. Let's all get something Bose today!
