    With this LCR hi-fi speaker (left, centre and right), you can create a home theatre installation without compromise. Ceiling integration is easy and ideal, especially where there’s no rear wall, and its adjustable turntable allows precise adjustment to the listening position. It incorporates exclusive Focal technologies, such as the Flax diaphragm and the aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter, for a deep, homogeneous sound in the room and high hi-fi quality.

    VERSATILITY

    The loudspeaker can be used for a wide range of applications: front left, centre or right channels, rear channels and high channels, to discreetly and efficiently meet all layout constraints. Its adjustable mid-range tweeter allows sound to be targeted at the listening point, even if the loudspeaker is off-axis, reproducing the complexity of film soundtracks.

    THE PINNACLE OF CINEMA

    The 10 cm bass/mid-range loudspeaker inherits the Flax linen membrane. This Focal technology diffuses a very natural, uncoloured sound, offering excellent intelligibility of voices: cinematographic scenes and film dialogues take on another dimension.

    PRACTICAL AND DISCREET

    With Easy Quick Install (EQI), no tools are required for installation! Installation is fast, and the supplied Pre-mounting kit adapts to all ceilings. For perfect integration into any interior, the grilles are designed to be painted.

    Flax membrane

    Purity and precision of sound

    As the key component of a loudspeaker, the membrane is at the heart of our acoustic engineers’ research. After more than five years of research and development, in 2013 Focal unveiled an exclusive membrane made from flax. Patented, this Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high quality French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of glass fibre. It satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass and damping to deliver a neutral, natural, uncoloured sound.

    Tweeter in Al/Mg

    Treble finesse

    Membrane shape and materials are essential. For the finest treble, our engineers have patented the inverted dome tweeter, a Focal signature. The inverted dome shape offers the advantage of low directionality and a small-diameter, lightweight coil for better acceleration. As for the materials used, they combine the key points of a good loudspeaker: aluminium increases dome rigidity and reduces distortion, while the addition of magnesium provides excellent damping.

    EQI system

    Easy to install

    Sound quality is not enough. That’s why Focal adds a valuable criterion for integration products: ease of installation. Thanks to the EQI (Easy Quick Install) system, assembly is greatly improved and facilitated, with installation time reduced to a minimum. This ingenious mechanism allows products to be installed by hand, simply and without tools.
