    Passive 2-way stand-mount loudspeaker

    The SCM20SL Classic is ATC’s flagship 2-way stand-mount loudspeaker. Ideal for modestly sized rooms where performance cannot be compromised.

    ATC DRIVE UNITS

    The loudspeaker is available in both PASSIVE and ACTIVE versions. Both versions employ ATC’s renowned drive units which are painstakingly designed and manufactured by ATC in the UK.

    SEALED CABINET DESIGN

    Its sealed cabinet design ensures precise timing and excellent low frequency output below the cut-off. The combination of ATC mid/bass and soft-dome tweeter delivers mid-range & high frequency of exceptional clarity and the driver component’s shared design philosophy ensures the parts work seamlessly together.

    THIRTY-FIVE YEARS IN PRODUCTION


    The SCM20PSL represents ATC’s highest performing 2-way, stand-mount, passive loudspeaker. The model has been in continuous production since 1990 and has evolved through four driver/crossover revisions into its current form. Music and audio aficionados worldwide enjoy its special combination of clarity, balance, mid-range detail in combination with classic styling.

    HAND-MADE CROSSOVER AND BI-WIRE INPUTS


    Its 2-way crossover network is hand-made by ATC using very high-quality film capacitors and ATC’s own air-cored inductors, employed for their lack of hysteresis and lower distortion. Input to the crossover is made via heavy duty bi-wire terminals.

    AMPLIFIER PARTNERING

    The loudspeaker is ideally paired with ATC pre/power/integrated amplifiers. However, their neutral fidelity, outstanding resolution and modest load impedance also ensures excellent compatibility with a very wide range of quality electronics.

    CABINET CONSTRUCTION


    The cabinet is constructed to be heavy and inert with a combination of bracing for stiffness and damping to suppress resonance. Bitumastic damping panels are deployed at critical positions to minimise cabinet colouration. It is available in a wide range of finishes.

    ALSO AVAILABLE AS A TOWER


    The SCM20PSL is also available as a floor-standing ‘tower’ model with identical performance in the form of the SCM20PSLT.

    Got directed here by Factory Sound in South Melbourne and finally found the 2.5mm/3.5mm cable I need. The lady who served me was great. Keen to help and friendly.

    It was interesting that the gentleman I talked to on the phone sounded like a friendly community middle aged uncle (no offence intended). After I'd parked, I was looking for a shop that's got the similar vibe to Factory Sound. When I stepped into the shop, my oh my, the contrary of what you had in mind and the reality lol
