ULTRA-REALISTIC SOUND

Made in France, the Flax loudspeakers and TNF aluminium/magnesium tweeter deliver remarkable performance for the size of the loudspeaker: dynamic sound, precise highs and good bass extension.

MODULAR INSTALLATION

Centre channel, left or right, the loudspeaker fits perfectly into any interior, around a TV. It attaches quickly and easily to the wall, or can be positioned on optional stands (sold in pairs).

OPTIMAL COMPLEMENTARITY

For a complete Focal system, this loudspeaker is the ideal complement to a 300 Series installation, and can also be combined without compromise with Dôme Flax, Aria Evo X, Theva, Vestia products, or the Sub Air and Sub 1000 F.

Flax membrane

Purity and precision of sound

As the key component of a loudspeaker, the membrane is at the heart of our acoustic engineers’ research. After more than five years of research and development, in 2013 Focal unveiled an exclusive membrane made from flax. Patented, this Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high quality French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of glass fibre. It satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass and damping to deliver a neutral, natural, uncoloured sound. It is an emblematic Focal innovation in many hi-fi products.

TNF Tweeter

Treble finesse

Made in France in our workshops, the TNF aluminium/magnesium inverted dome tweeter delivers smooth, clear treble. The surround that connects the dome to its support uses Poron, a shape-memory material. This surround is directly derived from Focal’s famous Beryllium tweeter, and reduces distortion by a factor of three between 2000 Hz and 3000 Hz, the most sensitive zone for the ear. In addition, a waveguide has been developed to perfect spatialisation and further improve the inverted dome’s very low directionality. In the horizontal plane, the frequency response is within +/- 0.5 dB. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage.

Got directed here by Factory Sound in South Melbourne and finally found the 2.5mm/3.5mm cable I need. The lady who served me was great. Keen to help and friendly.
