    Amplified and compact subwoofer

    The Sub 1000 F subwoofer has been designed for Home Cinema use in the purest Focal tradition. A technological masterpiece, it has a 1113/16” (30cm) diameter Flax membrane bass speaker cone. The stiffness and lightness of this environmentally-friendly textile mean it produces an extremely well defined, distortion-free sound.

    The 30 cm driver features a Flax sandwich cone, an exclusive Focal innovation. This flax cone offers greater timbre neutrality and sound definition, for an uncompromising listening experience.

    POWER AND PURITY

    Sub 1000 F incorporates a powerful 1000-watt BASH® amplifier, allowing the woofer to express its full potential. Its closed construction offers extended response in the bass range, compactness and absence of extraneous noise, for a pure, harmonious sound.

    FLAX MEMBRANE
    Purity and precision of sound

    As the key component of a loudspeaker, the membrane is at the heart of our acoustic engineers’ research. After more than five years of research and development, in 2013 Focal unveiled an exclusive membrane made from flax. Patented, this Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high quality French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of glass fibre. It satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass and damping to deliver a neutral, natural, uncolored sound. It is an emblematic Focal innovation in many hi-fi products.

    Got directed here by Factory Sound in South Melbourne and finally found the 2.5mm/3.5mm cable I need. The lady who served me was great. Keen to help and friendly.It was interesting that the gentleman I talked to on the phone sounded like a friendly community middle aged uncle (no offence intended). After I'd parked, I was looking for a shop that's got the similar vibe to Factory Sound. When I stepped into the shop, my oh my, the contrary of what you had in mind and the reality lolIt's a fancy pants shop by its look, but friendly environment. Let's all get something Bose today!
