    This versatile in-wall speaker is perfect for home-cinema use, but also as a complement to a traditional hi-fi system. It incorporates exclusive Focal technologies, such as the Flax membrane and the aluminium/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter, guaranteeing uncompromising sound quality and precision. Innovative design, compactness, tool-free assembly and discretion characterise the 300 IW6.

    PRECISION AND HARMONY

    The tweeter can be rotated for even sound distribution, and adapts to the acoustics of the room, wherever it’s being listened to, for optimum performance. The 300 IW6 is designed to blend harmoniously and discreetly into walls. The anti-vibration pads on the magnetic grille enhance the listening experience.

    CINEMA… AT HOME

    The 16.5 cm loudspeaker features a French Flax fibre cone. This Focal technology guarantees very natural sound, with no colouration and excellent voice intelligibility. Ideal for enjoying the dialogue in your films.

    EASY INSTALLATION

    Thanks to the EQI (Easy Quick Install) mounting system, no tools or screws are required, making installation quick and easy! The magnetic, ready-to-paint grille is designed to blend perfectly into any interior.

    Flax membrane

    Purity and precision of sound

    As the key component of a loudspeaker, the membrane is at the heart of our acoustic engineers’ research. After more than five years of research and development, in 2013 Focal unveiled an exclusive membrane made from flax. Patented, this Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high quality French flax fibre placed between two thin sheets of glass fibre. It satisfies all the criteria of a high-fidelity membrane: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass and damping to deliver a neutral, natural, uncoloured sound.

    EQI system

    Easy to install

    Sound quality is not enough. That’s why Focal adds a valuable criterion for integration products: ease of installation. Thanks to the EQI (Easy Quick Install) system, assembly is greatly improved and facilitated, with installation time reduced to a minimum. This ingenious mechanism allows products to be installed by hand, simply and without tools.

    Tweeter in Al/Mg

    Treble finesse

    Membrane shape and materials are essential. For the finest treble, our engineers have patented the inverted dome tweeter, a Focal signature. The inverted dome shape offers the advantage of low directionality and a small-diameter, lightweight coil for better acceleration. As for the materials used, they combine the key points of a good loudspeaker: aluminium increases dome rigidity and reduces distortion, while the addition of magnesium provides excellent damping.

    Got directed here by Factory Sound in South Melbourne and finally found the 2.5mm/3.5mm cable I need. The lady who served me was great. Keen to help and friendly.

    It was interesting that the gentleman I talked to on the phone sounded like a friendly community middle aged uncle (no offence intended). After I'd parked, I was looking for a shop that's got the similar vibe to Factory Sound. When I stepped into the shop, my oh my, the contrary of what you had in mind and the reality lol
