DIDRC Technology

Thanks to patented DIDRC circuitry (Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry), the A-50 delivers vivid yet smooth and comfortable sound from any musical source. DIDRC is a discrete signal control circuit designed to embody Onkyo’s sound philosophy, used in the analogue filter of the DAC. Its high slew-rate design reduces noise generated in very high frequency bands of digital sources.

Superior Construction

A 5mm-thick extruded aluminium front panel increases rigidity and suppresses vibration, while the “oval chassis” with oval press lines strengthens the bottom surface and disperses vibration. Combined with fan-less design that eliminates noise and an extrusion aluminium heat sink, this amplifier provides exquisite and powerful sound.

High-quality 10000uF capacitors custom-made exclusively for Onkyo, a copper bus bar, and rigid front panels further reduce vibration and signal degradation. The premium stereo DAC (32bit / 768kHz) reduces distortion while maintaining exceptional audio clarity throughout the signal path.

Got directed here by Factory Sound in South Melbourne and finally found the 2.5mm/3.5mm cable I need. The lady who served me was great. Keen to help and friendly.
